Matthew Good Foundation – Grants for Good
Every three months the Matthew Good Foundation share’s £10,000 between £5,000 shortlisted projects that have a positive impact on communities, people or the environment. Applications are shortlisted and the five projects that make it to the shortlist are voted for by John Good Group employees, with those projects that receive the most votes receiving the bigger share of the £10,000.
Groups can apply all year round with funding awarded in January, April, July & October, with application deadlines being the 15th of the month before.
BME Youth – Together Fund
The Together Fund is a Sport England initiative aimed at supporting voluntary community organisations to recover and emerge from the long-term impacts of COVID-19. It concentrates on supporting community organisations to reach and engage their audience in sports, movement and physical activity. The fund exists to reduce the negative impact of COVID-19 and support community groups to grow and help more people.
Applications of up to £10,000 can be made and we recommend that you read the guidance notes prior to making an application. The deadline for applications is 31st March 2023 but applications will be considered on a first come, first serve basis and the fund will close once the total amount for the fund has been allocated. Delivery of the project should be from the time the funding is awarded until 30th September 2023.
Newcomen Collett Foundation – Grants to Organisations
This grant is only available to companies who are located in the London Borough of Southwark or who have members who reside in Southwark. Their priorities are to help groups buy equipment for the benefit of those under the age of 25 in the London Borough of Southwark. Grants can be applied for once per 12-month period and applications are considered four times a year.

BBC Children in Need Core Costs Grant
This funding stream has no deadline and you can apply at any time. The first step of the application is to fill in a short Expression of Interest Form and only if they are interested in funding your work will you then need to complete the full application.
Applications can be made to support essential organisational and administrative spending – the key expenses required to keep running. Applicants can apply for grants for up to three years.
London Marathon Charitable Trust Active Spaces Fund
The LMCT Active Spaces Fund is for projects that will improve or activate spaces, places and facilities in London that help the least active children and young people and marginalised groups and communities to lead active and healthy lives. Grants of up to £50,000 can be applied for, with grants over £20,000 subject to a timescale for applications. Grants of up to £20,000 can be submitted at any time with the outcome communicated within eight weeks. Grants of over £50,00 might be considered but you will need to contact LMCT before applying. It is anticipated that most applications will be for at least £5,000 and the fund is aimed at building or renovating facilities, play spaces, community spaces and or for purchasing new or replacement equipment.
