SUMMARY:Paintball Event
DESCRIPTION:Our annual Paintball Event will take place on Saturday 12th October 2024 at Delta Force East London\, located in Upminster. \nThe event is open to Company and Seniors age groups\, and bookings can now be made online here. \nThe event will take from 10am to 1pm\, with participants playing 6 games during the day\, with all equipment being provided\, along with 500 paintballs per person. The cost for all of this is £38 per person. \nBookings must be made online by Monday 30th September 2024. \nThis venue is regarded as one of the best in the country\, offering amazing facilities and game zones\, including a jet aeroplane\, no less than 4 double-decker buses\, armoured vehicles\, forts\, jungle environments and much more. With six massive battle arenas\, there are plenty of action-packed scenarios and missions for you to try and conquer. The venue is easy to access being close to major roads including M25 and A406\, as well as just minutes from Upminster Underground Station\, so also accessible by public transport. \nThis is a great opportunity to bring Company/Senior members together\, so consider offering it how to your young people.

SUMMARY:BBHQ Adventure Day
DESCRIPTION:A great opportunity for Company and Senior members to join others from across the Brigade for a day of adventure activities. \nThe Adventure Days are being run as part of the Brigade’s ‘Your Future’ project. The closest opportunity to London is to be held on Saturday 28th September at Phasels Wood Activity Centre in Hemel Hempstead. \nActivities during the day will include High Ropes\, Crate Stacking\, Archery\, Aero Ball\, Climbing\, Rifle Shooting and more. All young people will get to do 4 or 5 activities. As well as this those attending will be provided with a sandwich lunch. The day will run from 10am to 5pm. DESCRIPTION:Booking for this years event is now open! Please click here to book.\nOur paintball event is a key part of the programme of activities that we offer members in our Company & Seniors age groups. Paintball allows our young people to get out into the countryside and get active. \nThe event for the 2023/24 session is taking place at Delta Force\, Cobham on Saturday 16th March 2024\, from 12:30 until 15:30. The cost per person will be £35.30 and this includes all equipment required and 500 paintballs. Those attending will play six games across 3 game zones and additional paintballs can be purchased on site. This event is open to all members in the Company Section & Seniors and leaders from companies attending with young people\, are welcome to take part as well. Drinks\, water & snacks will be available to purchase on site but it is advisable for those attending to make arrangements to have lunch prior to arrival on site. \nThe timetable for the event is as follows: \n\n12:30 – Arrival/Check In\n12:35-13:15 – Issue of kit\, getting dressed\, loading Ammo\, Teams Organised\n13:15-13:30 – Safety Brief Practice on target range\n13:30-15:25 – 6 Games played across 3 zones\n15:25-15:30 – Debrief and Top gun Awards\n15:30 – Departure\n\nFAQ’s can be downloaded here and a template risk assessment can be found here which can be modified for your company. \nThe closing date for booking has been extended and is now Friday 16th February 2024. \nPlease note: \n\nThose attending will be required to register online prior to arriving at the venue. Full information will be provided to companies in February.\nThere are two paintball venues located in the area\, so it important that you ensure you attend the Cobham venue and not the South West London (Effingham) venue. The full address of the venue is Delta Force Paintball Surrey\, Horsley Rd\, Cobham KT11 3JY\nThe venue is a 20 minute walk (1 mile) from Effingham Junction Station with regular trains operating from London Waterloo on the day of the event. Please let us know if you are planning on traveling to the venue by train\, as we will liaise with others to try and arrange for you to be picked up.

DESCRIPTION:For a third year in a row\, we will be part of the YOU London float in the Lord Mayor’s Show. This year\, companies located within the London Borough of Croydon\, or the West Midlands will have priority for our allocated spaces. This is to reflect that Croydon is the London Borough of Culture 2023 and the theme of the show this year is ‘bringing cities to the city’. If you would like to attend and your company is not located in either of the areas listed above\, please still complete the form below. \nWe have an allocation of up to 4 spaces for young people and 1 adult volunteer to be part of the float. SUMMARY:YOU London Leadership Conference
DESCRIPTION:This year’s YOU London leadership Conference will take place on Saturday 30th September & Sunday 1st October at the City of London School\, Queen Victoria Street\, London EC4V 3AL \nThe aim of the weekend is to develop the leadership skills of young people in school years 10 to 13 and we have been offered an initial allocation of 12 places for each day. To get the most from the programme\, we recommend young people attend for both days\, but we recognise that there is a clash with other evets on the same weekend and therefore young people can attend just the one day if that is more realistic.  There is no overnight accommodation available this year and young people will be required to travel to and from the City of London School on both days.  Leaders are also encouraged to attend this event and at least one leader should attend if you are registering young people (it can be a different leader on each day). \nMore information is available on the downloadable flyer and you can register to attend via the online form.  The online registration form will need to be completed by a parent / carer for young people registering to attend the event.  The deadline for registering to attend is Friday 9th September.
