Volunteer With Us

Our volunteers work hard to give our members the best experience of their lives

From meeting nights, events, competitions and specialist activities, there are numerous opportunities for you to get involved.

If you would like to to find out more about volunteering with us, please complete our online form.

Meeting Nights

Our volunteers who help on a meeting night are the key to what we offer our children and young people. From parents who stay on and help, to local people who come along to provide something for their community, there is always something that can be done.

We often get told that people ‘don’t have any relevant skills’ to volunteer on a Boys’ Brigade night. Well there is more to running a meeting night than meets the eye and everybody has a skill that can be utilised to help the night run smoothly.

Events

Our events provide an enhanced experience for our children and young people, but also require a large number of volunteers to ensure they are run safely.

We try to make sure that those people who volunteer at an event have fun and really enjoy their time with us. So if you are an entertainer, can talk into a microphone, supervise an activity or organise a car park, we would love to hear from you.

Competitions

Our competitions allow our children and young people to show off their talents.

If you are able to help judge, marshal or provide refreshments at any of our competitions, or would just like to know more about how you can help, please get in touch.

Specialist Activities

Do you have a specialist skill that you could teach our young people?

We are constantly looking out for people who can show our young people specific tasks or provide them with skills and knowledge that they might not learn elsewhere.

If this sounds like you and you would be interested in volunteering with us, please complete our online form and we will get in touch with you to discuss this further.

University Students

If you are about to start university or already attend a university and would like to find out more about specific opportunities for students, please visit our Student Volunteers page.

If you are a company who is looking to work with university students, please read our short guide to help you with the process.
