Awards Celebration @ City Hall 2026

Our annual Awards Celebration took place at City Hall on Saturday 31st January, recognising and celebrating 92 award recipients. The awards presented included King’s Badge, President’s Badge, Jack Petchey Awards, Deputy Lieutenants’ Certificates, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Community Impact Award, Fundraiser of the Year Award and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

We launched two new Company based awards this year including the Community Impact Award which was won by the 18th West Kent who celebrated their 100th year, as well as getting involved with a local care home and food bank. The runners up were 1st Barnet for their Band work within the local community and 2nd/3rd/10th Enfield & 4th Barnet for their support of the local Help for Hunger campaign. Also the Fundraisers of the Year Award was won by 10th Enfield for their efforts raising over £15,000 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice through their Christmas Collection, and the runners up were 1st Slough for their efforts in supporting Smile Uganda.

We also launched our Lifetime Achievement Awards to recognise exceptional leaders who have served faithfully for 30+ years. It was fantastic to present these to leaders across the District including Alan Conner (4th Barnet), David Lawless (1st Westgate), Graham Hinton (1st Uxbridge), John Chamberlain (4th Hillingdon), Keith Alexander (11th Kingston & Merton), Melvin Dawson 32nd Redbridge), Peter Cowley (12th Enfield) and Robert Cooke (11th Enfield).

Congratulations to all those that received awards as part of the event held at City Hall last Saturday.

The awards were presented by Kim Bromley-Derry CBE DL, Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London – representing HM The King and The Lord Lieutenant for Greater London

A great day of celebration, recognising exceptional commitment and service, making a difference in local communities across the District.
