Virtual Youth Leader Training – Module 5 – Managing Risk
Over the course of the 2023/24 session, London District will be delivering Youth Leader Training Modules virtually on the second Wednesday of each month. The timings will vary slightly depending on the module being delivered and leaders are welcome to join for every unit to complete the full Youth Leader Training Course, or attend just the units that are of interest, or for refresher training. All modules are free to attend and are open to all leaders, even if you are based outside London.

The objective of this module is to enable participants to create a safe environment for children and young people and ensure that activities are organised and delivered safely.
At the end of this module participants will:
- Be able to create a safe environment
- Understand their role and responsibilities
- Be able to complete risk assessments and manage risk
- Be able to respond to an emergency including how to record/report
- Know where to access resources and guidance
This session builds on the eLearning module that leaders must have completed before attending.
